SUNDAY SCHEDULE

Psunday Psoas
SUNDAY APRIL 30, 2023
9:30 am CST

Last Sunday of each month is Psunday! In this advanced class, we'll be focusing on the "muscle of the soul". The psoas is the deepest muscle in the body and not only allows us to twist from one side to the other, it is the structural and energetic core of your body. “The psoas muscle is the main muscle that responds to the sympathetic nervous system during the flight/fight/freeze response in the body. When startled or under mental or emotional stress, the psoas contracts and curls up, a little like a caterpillar poked by a stick." - Liz Koch This is a more advanced class, so you will need to have completed the Starter Program, or Block Basics

FREE HAND CLASS
SUNDAY MAY 7, 2023
9:30 am CST

Oh, those of you with nobby knuckles, trigger fingers, carpal tunnel pain, or achy joints. - this class is for you. Let's free the cause sites of internal rotation of the arms and free up our hands so we can get back to opening jars again. Bonus surprise may be freedom and release through the upper back. Who would have thought the hands can help bring those shoulders back and down! This is a more advanced class, so you will need to have completed the Starter Program, or Block Basics

These are for You
SUNDAY May 14, 2023
9:30 am CST

Mother yourself. A deep dive into the chest and ribcage will be a wonderful class to support lung and breast health and nurture self-care. Celebrate opening your heart and breathe in gratitude.  Afterall, it's Mother's  Day.

This is a more advanced class, so you will need to have completed the Starter Program.

Pelvic Floor
SUNDAY MAY 21, 2023
9:30 am CST

Let's realign and strengthen this area while becoming more grounded in our bodies. The pelvic floor is a “bucket” made of ligaments, muscles and fascia which becomes frozen and compressed over time, causing discomfort, chronic pain and disconnection to this important area. A strong and supported pelvic floor is vital to supporting the bladder, the bowels, and also important for sexual health. By releasing adhesions of the fascia through this area, we will move toward greater balance and flow in the body through the pelvis. If for any reason you cannot be on your knees, you can do the positions on a chair.
This is a more advanced class, so you will need to have completed the Starter Program, or Block Basics

Bottoms up
SUNDAY JUNE 4, 2023
9:30 am CST

Cheers! Let’s target the pelvis, combining transitions and isometrics. This will build postural muscles in the pelvis, while sculpting the butt. This is a more advanced class, so you will need to have completed the Starter Program before moving into this area of the pelvis. You may be surprised in the shifts during this class, opening up for more freedom and fluidity through your hips.

What Happens in Vagus
SUNDAY JUNE 11, 2023
9:30 am CST

Meet the Vagus Nerve. This "vagabond" (as in travelling) nerve is the longest cranial nerve in the body. It starts in the brain and wanders through the face, neck, chest, and abdomen. By talking to the brain, it helps regulate our nervous system, taking us back and forth between parasympathetic and sympathetic states. This class will be all about the parasympathetic - rest and digest, while we stimulate the vagus nerve, increasing vagal tone which allows us the ability to calm ourselves, when under stress. This is a more advanced class, so you will need to have completed the Starter Program, or Block Basics

Walk Around the Block
SUNDAY JUNE 18, 2023
9:30 am CST

As you’ve learned in Block Basics, the feet and the calves are a major cause site which can be the source of much chronic pain and misalignment all the way up the chain. You may be saying “Whose feet are these?” after this class. We’ll free up and soften areas in the foot where the fascia has gripped tightly to bone. Blocking on all the major reflexology areas throughout the foot, you may be surprised how much pain has been stored in this tissue. This class is a way of saying THANK YOU to your feet that have tirelessly walked us through our lives.

Open the Arms
SUNDAY JULY 9, 2023
9:30 am CST

Spread your wings! We'll be doing a core class with emphasis on the arms. We'll be opening up the front, and then focusing on the shoulders, to fingertips. Realigning the arms will help bring the shoulders back and down. The better to hug you with, my dear. It's always the season for that! This is a more advanced class, so you will need to have completed the Starter Program, or Block Basics

Upper Back Relief
SUNDAY JULY 16, 2023
9:30 am CST

Spread your wings! This class is Heidi's personal favourite. We’ll target the upper ribs to open the chest and then go into the upper back for a beautiful therapeutic session. You may be surprised how relaxed and peaceful you feel afterward. Best part, you may have thought only a massage therapist could access such deep places, until now. This is a more advanced class, so you will need to have completed the Starter Program, or Block Basics

Facelift Class
SUNDAY JULY 23, 2023
9:30 am CST

Take a picture of your face before and after class. See what a difference steam ironing with your diaphragm makes. Make your living room into a self-care spa. Grab a cozy blanket, and some cushions. Join us for a beautiful, meditative class which will feed your face, neck and scalp. Releasing facia in this area feels SO great afterwards, and supports those who suffer from headaches, jaw tension, sinus issues, and anxiety challenges. This class is great for beginners!

Core Meditation
SUNDAY AUGUST 13, 2023
9:30 am CST

To relieve lower back pain, let’s invite space and length into the core. This class targets the area from the SI joints to the lower back ribs. This will help open up this area and encourage the natural lumbar curve which many of us have lost. This will also benefit the psoas muscle, so we’ll be creating a lovely sense of calmness in the low back.
This is a more advanced class, so you will need to have completed the Starter Program,or Block Basics.

Care for Your Calves
SUNDAY AUGUST 20, 2023
9:30 am CST

This major cause site is the source of much chronic pain and misalignment. This is a great class to get in there and release some of the frozen fascia that’s gripping to those lower legs and holding us in chronic pain. I’ll show you how to use your hands to help further soften and release tissue that the block may not be able to reach. Your entire body will thank you. I’ve learned that you can’t block your calves enough. And that’s no bull. 😉 This is a great class for beginners.
